We gather within the storied walls of Acquario Romano to honor Shabe Yalda, the Persian celebration of the winter solstice and one of the world’s oldest known traditions. Rooted in the ancient belief that light triumphs over darkness, Yalda is a night devoted to poetry, fruit, and shared warmth. Beneath Acquario Romano’s neoclassical dome and arches, echoes of Rome’s own antiquity surround us, bridging cultures and centuries as we begin our celebration in unity and light.
